Program Manager/Camp Director- Camp Pisgah

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is seeking a qualified Program Manager/Camp Director for Camp Pisgah in Brevard, NC.  The Program Manager  is responsible to develop, retain and increase girl and adult membership through planning and implementing the council camp and other pathway programs in order to achieve the council’s goals and objectives. The incumbent is responsible for development and direction of the resident camp program at Camp Pisgah, and other program offerings at Camp Pisgah, along with other program experiences that may occur in other settings. She/he supports all program pathways and ensures the GSLE is consistent throughout the council.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.  Strong knowledge and experience of Girl Scout programming, ACA standards, outdoor education and a proven ability to plan and organize. Minimum of two years prior experience with program development, youth programming and camp management, including staff supervision and development.  A team player that is honest, has a strong work ethic, is solution oriented and possess a positive attitude. Ability to work with a variety of people and sensitivity to pluralism issues. Belief in the purpose, values and mission of GSUSA and GSCP2P. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history and criminal background check required.  Ability to work in outdoor camp setting with regular exposure to heat, humidity, cold and rainy weather. Year round, full-time position w/benefits, salary in low 30s.  Onsite housing required at Camp Pisgah.

Property Manager- Keyauwee Program Center

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is seeking a qualified Property Manager for Keyauwee Program Center, in Sophia, NC. The Property Manager  will ensure the efficient and safe operation of the facilities and property of Keyauwee Program Center.  The incumbent practices preventative risk management, maintains the property and equipment, manages property development and natural areas, maintains outdoor and indoor program facilities and performs or supervises all activities related to site maintenance as needed. The Property  Manager must have exemplary customer service skills and be naturally customer focused.

Qualifications: 5+ years experience with plant/facility management including supervision of staff and contract/subcontractors,  ability to plan and organize and computer skills a must. Very desired would be a current certification/ license in a trade,  i.e., plumbing, electrical, building. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history & criminal background check required.  A team player that is honest, has a strong work ethic, is solution oriented and possess a positive attitude. Ability to work with a variety of people and sensitivity to pluralism issues. Belief in the purpose, values and mission of GSUSA and GSCP2P. Recruitment Manager

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has an immediate opening for a Recruitment Manager, based in our Triad Service Center. This position reports to the Director of Membership Development- Southeast Triad and will serve on a cross-functional team accountable for membership growth through recruitment and retention of girl members and adult volunteers in the region. Serving as the primary point of contact to external audiences, the recruitment manager will develop and implement plans to increase membership, promote the image of Girl Scouting in the community and broaden the base of community partnerships and support.

The new recruitment manager will also be our point person for college recruitment efforts, establishing and maintaining relationships with selected area colleges and universities and engaging and supporting college volunteers.

Our new recruitment manager will be goal-oriented with a positive attitude and great teamwork skills. Ideally, they will either live in or have established contacts in the service area, particularly in Alamance County, and will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.  The position requires a minimum of two years experience in a marketing, recruitment and/or volunteer management with demonstrated human relations skills.  A strong working knowledge of Girl Scout program, standards, mission and systems is highly desirable.

Temporary Program Providers

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is currently searching for temporary (seasonal) part-time program providers in Asheville, Catawba County, Gastonia, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. Program providers are responsible for providing and implementing Girl Scout program for identified, underserved girl populations in the council. The Girl Scout program will include regular meetings following the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, academic tutoring, summer camp experiences and cookie program participation. Multiple positions are available for each location, with hours varying from 5-15 per week. Position duration can be from six weeks up to eight months.

Major Accountabilities include:

  • Plan and implement assigned programs utilizing the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
  • Implement, monitor and report outcome measurements for all programs and administer pre- and post-surveys
  • Keep accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure all activities follow GSCP2P and GSUSA policies and standards
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians
  • Attend council-sponsored meetings, trainings and events, as deemed appropriate by outreach staff
  • Maintain effective group/meeting management including conflict resolution
