Membership Manager

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has an immediate opening for a full-time Membership Manager based in our Gastonia Service Center, primarily serving Cleveland and Lincoln Counties.  This position reports to the Director of Membership Development and will serve on a cross-functional team, accountable for membership growth through recruitment and retention of girl members and adult volunteers in the assigned geographic area.  Serving as the primary point of contact for volunteers and external audiences, the membership manager will build and develop regional teams who support direct service volunteers,  and develop and implement plans to increase  retention and growth.

Our new team member will be a creative, solution-oriented team player who has a positive attitude.  A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience, along with a minimum of two years experience in volunteer management and/or community development are required.  A strong working knowledge of the Girl Scout program and mission is highly desirable.  Our preferred candidate will live in and/or have established contacts within the counties served.

Computer literacy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required. Public speaking, networking and organization skills are also essential for a successful candidate. The hiring range is high 20s to low 30s.

Recruitment Manager

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has an immediate opening for a Recruitment Manager, based in our Triad Service Center. This position reports to the Director of Membership Development- Southeast Triad and will serve on a cross-functional team accountable for membership growth through recruitment and retention of girl members and adult volunteers in the region. Serving as the primary point of contact to external audiences, the recruitment manager will develop and implement plans to increase membership, promote the image of Girl Scouting in the community and broaden the base of community partnerships and support.

The new recruitment manager will also be our point person for college recruitment efforts, establishing and maintaining relationships with selected area colleges and universities and engaging and supporting college volunteers.

Our new recruitment manager will be goal-oriented with a positive attitude and great teamwork skills. Ideally, they will either live in or have established contacts in the service area, particularly in Alamance County, and will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.  The position requires a minimum of two years experience in a marketing, recruitment and/or volunteer management with demonstrated human relations skills.  A strong working knowledge of Girl Scout program, standards, mission and systems is highly desirable.

Program Manager- Awards & Older Girls

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has an immediate opening for a Program Manager – Awards & Older Girl Programs  based in our Triad Service Center in Colfax.

This position reports to the Director of Project Development and is accountable for developing and providing specific program opportunities and support systems for council-wide older girl programs, girls pursuing the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards and general program support and community partners in their geographic region.  There is also a special focus on recruitment, development and support of volunteers to provide direct services to girls in these same areas.  She/he maximizes utilization of council sites and community resources to further girls’ experiences, supporting membership growth and retention.

Our new team member will be a creative, solution-oriented team player who has a positive attitude and a Bachelor’s degree in  recreation, education, non-profit management or a related field or, minimally,  an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.  The position requires a minimum of three years experience in youth program development and management with demonstrated human relations skills.  A strong working knowledge of Girl Scout program, standards, mission, and systems is highly desirable.

Computer literacy, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple tasks are required.  Public speaking, networking and organization skills are also essential for a successful candidate.

Part-time Teams Services Representative- Triad

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has a current opening for a Part-Time Team Services Representative  in our Triad Service Center in Colfax.

The team service representative will greet and assist telephone and in-person visitors, process incoming and outgoing mail, provide data entry, receipting, financial deposits, assist members/customers in our retail store and provide general service duties.  This position is for 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. The specific hours to be regularly scheduled are flexible and can either be a morning or afternoon shift.  Willingness and ability to work occasional hours outside of the regular schedule is required.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and three years demonstrated experience in a customer service position.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, proficiency with MS Office applications, data entry skills, an acceptable driving history/criminal background check and a willingness to join Girl Scouting and model behavior consistent with the Girl Scout Mission, Promise and Law are also required.  Experience with the Girl Scouting is highly desirable!

Membership Services Manager

Temporary Program Providers

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is currently searching for temporary (seasonal) part-time program providers in Asheville, Catawba County, Gastonia, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. Program providers are responsible for providing and implementing Girl Scout program for identified, underserved girl populations in the council. The Girl Scout program will include regular meetings following the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, academic tutoring, summer camp experiences and cookie program participation. Multiple positions are available for each location, with hours varying from 5-15 per week. Position duration can be from six weeks up to eight months.

Major Accountabilities include:

  • Plan and implement assigned programs utilizing the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
  • Implement, monitor and report outcome measurements for all programs and administer pre- and post-surveys
  • Keep accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure all activities follow GSCP2P and GSUSA policies and standards
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians
  • Attend council-sponsored meetings, trainings and events, as deemed appropriate by outreach staff
  • Maintain effective group/meeting management including conflict resolution
