Director of Membership Development- Gastonia
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has an immediate opening for a Director of Membership Development in our Gastonia (NC) Service Center. This position reports to the Vice President of Membership Development and is responsible for development and execution of a plan for comprehensive membership growth, retention and support for a four-county region. The Director of Membership Development will supervise the Membership Services Manager and Recruitment Manager for the region. The regional Director will also have a special focus, council-wide, on improving communications with Girl Scout parents and parents of potential Girl Scouts and educating parents and the community on the long-term value of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Our new team member will be a creative, solution-oriented manager and leader with a positive attitude. A bachelor’s degree in non-profit management or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience is required, along with a minimum of two years experience in volunteer management and/or community development are required, including supervision of staff. A strong working knowledge of the Girl Scout program and mission is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing growth and communication plans and motivating and managing teams is required.
Computer literacy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required. Public speaking, networking and organization skills are also essential for a successful candidate. The hiring range is mid $40s.

Membership Services Manager
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has an immediate opening for a full-time Membership Services Manager based in our Asheville Service Center, serving the western North Carolina region. This position reports to the Director of Membership Development and will serve on a cross-functional team, accountable for membership growth through retention of girl members and adult volunteers in the assigned geographic area. Serving as the primary point of contact for volunteers, the membership services manager will build and develop regional teams who support direct service volunteers, resulting in increased retention and membership growth.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience, along with a minimum of two years experience in volunteer management and/or community development are required. Program Manager- Outreach and Grant Funded Initiatives
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has an immediate opening for a Program Manager – Outreach and Grant Funded Initiatives based in our Triad Service Center serving Forsyth County. This position is made possible through grant funding from the Winston- Salem Foundation.
The Program Manager will be accountable for design and delivery of targeted programs to develop, retain and increase membership throughout Forsyth County. S/he will work closely with community partners to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience in diverse settings using multiple program delivery methods and may recruit and supervise both paid and volunteer service delivery personnel.
Our Program Manager will be a results-oriented, creative thinking problem solver and a great team player. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a recreation, education or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. The position requires a minimum of two years experience in a youth program development/delivery with demonstrated competency in community development, planning and problem solving/conflict management. A strong working knowledge of Girl Scout program, standards, mission and systems is highly desirable.

Temporary Program Providers
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is currently searching for temporary (seasonal) part-time program providers in Asheville, Catawba County, Gastonia, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. Program providers are responsible for providing and implementing Girl Scout program for identified, underserved girl populations in the council. The Girl Scout program will include regular meetings following the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, academic tutoring, summer camp experiences and cookie program participation. Multiple positions are available for each location, with hours varying from 5-15 per week. Position duration can be from six weeks up to eight months.
Major Accountabilities include:
- Plan and implement assigned programs utilizing the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
- Implement, monitor and report outcome measurements for all programs and administer pre- and post-surveys
- Keep accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner
- Ensure all activities follow GSCP2P and GSUSA policies and standards
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians
- Attend council-sponsored meetings, trainings and events, as deemed appropriate by outreach staff
- Maintain effective group/meeting management including conflict resolution
