Donors

When YOU support Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont, you become part of empowering girls. Your support helps girls learn to be safe, think for themselves and lead the way for others. Imagine what an entire generation of girls can do, given confidence, skills and preparation to lead. DONATE NOW!

Because the national membership fees go directly to GSUSA, councils must seek other sources of funding. Girls need YOU to invest in them! Below are giving options that you can choose from to make your investment. You may also want to consider becoming a corporate sponsor or give of your time and volunteer.

Financial information about this organization and a copy of its license are available from the State Solicitation Licensing Branch at 1-888-830-4989. The license is not an endorsement by the State.

Gifts made to Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Annual Giving

Each year we rely upon generous gifts from individuals and businesses to support the ongoing work of the council. These annual gifts ensure that girls experience fun programs where they make friends, learn new skills and serve the community. This critical support provides an opportunity for those who believe in the Girl Scout mission to give back to a greater cause.

Unless specified, all money from the Annual Giving Campaign goes toward the continuation and enhancement of the Girl Scout program. Gifts to the Annual Giving Campaign can also be made as an honorarium/memoriam gift. Your gift of any amount will help to provide enriching, educational and exciting activities for girls in your community!

Partnership for Girls

Partnership for Girls is a fundraising opportunity that equally benefits troops and our council. To have a strong Girl Scout experience, a girl needs both a strong troop and a strong council. Money raised through the Partnership for Girls campaign will be split 50/50 between GSCP2P and the troops who raise it. Campaign materials are below and questions can be directed to a campaign coach in your area.

Planned Giving

In March of 1912, Juliette Gordon Low gathered just a few girls to begin the Girl Scouts. Juliette’s outstanding leadership was matched by her stewardship when she converted the carriage house of her home into the first Girl Scout national headquarters, and she gifted the property to Girl Scouts in her will.

Juliette’s bequest was the beginning of planned giving to Girl Scouts. In her memory, the Juliette Gordon Low Legacy Society was established to thank and honor friends of Girl Scouting who choose to make Girl Scouts part of their legacies and a beneficiary of their estate plans. Providing a gift to Girl Scouts in your estate plans can include naming Girl Scouts as beneficiary of a:

  • Will
  • Retirement Plan
  • Living Trust
  • Donor Advised Fund
  • Life Insurance Policy
  • Charitable Remainder Trust
  • Charitable Lead Trust
  • Remainder Gift of Real Estate
  • Any other gift that benefits Girl Scouts in the future

When you leave Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont in your will, not only will you be recognized locally you will also become a national Juliette Gordon Low Society member as well.

As a Juliette Gordon Low Legacy Society member, you will be invited to attend special recognition and educational events. Other benefits include a subscription to the our council newsletter, listing as a Society member in select Girl Scout publications, access to digital resources and a special membership lapel pin.

If you have already named us as the beneficiary of a planned gift, please let us know. We will welcome you as a Juliette Gordon Low Leadership Society member. If you would like more information about how you can become a member – in a manner that benefits you, your heirs and Girl Scouts – please e-mail Grace M. Lewis, CFRE, or call 704-865-3245.

Camp Assistance

Time at camp can be a pivotal point where a girl masters a new skill, becomes independent in her daily activities and takes that final step to becoming a leader. That is why donations given to camp support are so important – all girls deserve a chance to go camp, no matter what their financial situation.

The average cost of a one-week summer resident camp is $320. Please consider giving a girl the gift of camp! Many times a partial scholarship makes it possible for a girl to have the great camp experience and an estimated 1,200 girls are able to attend camp as a result of generous donations.
