Connect to the outdoors and nature while being creative and artsty!  Be the first to earn the brand new GSUSA Outdoor Arts badge that will be revealed in May! Explore the art outdoors.  Make a magnificent piece of artwork using nature as your subject.  Create and share music inspired by nature.  Capture nature digitally and have a ton of fun!  Open to all ages, but Daisy Girl Scouts will not earn a badge- however, they can apply the activities to many of the Daisy Petals, Journey activities or a fun patch.

GRADE LEVEL: All Girl Scouts


FEE: $12 per girl/ $6 per adult

MIN/MAX: 22/100

BRING: Individual Gear:  Bagged lunch & drink, Water Bottle, Sit Upon, Rain Gear, Day Pack
Troop Gear:  First Aid Kit, Health & Permission Forms, Digital Cameras (cell phones or cameras) 1 per every 3 girls, Paper Towel/Wrapping Paper Tube (as many as you can collect )
What to Wear:  Outdoor Clothes (outdoor adventures & paint) Athletic/Outdoor Shoes (no open toes/heels)

Girl Scouts Explore Biltmore @ Biltmore Estate
Jun 11 all-day

This one-day event is for girls of all ages! It’s filled with fun, demonstrations and hands-on activities and includes a self-guided visit of the Biltmore House.  Activities and demonstrations focus on George and Edith’s lives at hom, etiquette, letter writing, lawn games, learning how they traveled and more!

Planning Your Day:

Arrive early!  Pick up your welcome packet and tickets at the drive-up tent in the Group Sales parking lot starting at 8:15 a.m. From 9 a.m.- Noon, the Antler Hill Farm area will be alive with activity stations filled with games, demonstrations and much more. Your ticket also includes: A self-guided visit in the Biltmore House, gardens, conservatory, Legacy exhibit and winery production tour. Plus don’t miss the Fashionable Romance: Wedding Gowns in Film exhibit inside the house.

GRADE LEVEL: All Girl Scouts (grades K-12) and troop leaders, parents

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Call toll free to make your reservation: 866-851-4661 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

GIRL FEE: $15 (plus tax) per Girl Scout or sibling

ADULT FEE: $38 (plus tax) per adult

BRING: bag lunch or purchase at restaurant on the estate, tennis shoes or closed toe shoes and appropriate clothes for the weather

Gold Award Chat Session @ Girl Scout Learning Center

Ready for the Gold? Got a project idea? Get immediate feedback and develop your proposal. Be sure to view the GSCP2P Gold Award videos prior to attending the chat session. Either this virtual chat or the in-person chat meets the girl training requirements for the Gold award.

Prior to the virtual chat, complete the steps below:

  • STEP 1: Watch the three Gold Award videos – link provided above.
  • STEP 2: Have an adult in your troop taken the Gold Adult Learning Opportunity? Before you proceed, a registered Girl Scout adult must complete this course, in-person or online.
  • STEP 3: Create your Go Gold Online app account and start on steps 1-3.

(If you don’t have online access, contact a highest awards program manager).

  • STEP 4: Participate in a Girl Chat session. You can do this in-person or virtually.

GRADE LEVEL: Girl Scout Seniors, Ambassadors (grades 9-12) and troop leaders, parents

Keyauwee Program Center Family Fun Day @ Keyauwee Program Center

Come check out camp and see what we have to offer! Families can ride horses, swim at the pool, boat at the lake, climb the wall or Alpine tower, meet our summer staff and enjoy all we have to offer! Touring camp is free, but we are asking a small donation for all facilitated activities. All monies go toward the camp scholarship fund.

If swimming please bring a swimsuit; riding horses requires long pants and closed toe shoes. Also long shorts and closed toe shoes are required for the climbing wall, Alpine tower and archery.
