Camp Pisgah Spooky Hallow Fest Family Weekend @ Camp Pisgah

Get ready to have a spooky day at Camp Pisgah! We will paint pumpkins, try apple chucking and make Boo-tiful crafts. Come in your costume, play games and participate in a haunted walk throughout the camp. Finish the evening with a campfire before retiring for the night!

FEE: $50 for girls, ages 11 and older and adults; $25 for girls ages 3-10

BRING: sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, change of clothes, pajamas, toiletries, day pack, rain gear, water bottle, tennis shoes and suitable clothing for the weather

Join us for the fourth annual council-wide camporee at Keyauwee Program Center! We will have Girl Scout events, adventure activities and community groups leading programs for all ages. Horseback riding and the Alpine tower will be available for an additional fee and require advance sign up. Troops are welcome to come as a group, or girls are welcome to come with a registered adult of their choosing!

GIRL/ADULT FEES:

  • Sleep in cabin – $50
  • Sleep in tent (bring your own) – $40
  • Saturday only – $25

CPR and First Aid
1-6 p.m.; $20
Current CPR certification is required of a troop adult before participating in certain activities, and the certificate earned in this class is valid for two years. The class is open to the public and to Girl Scouts 14 and older.  

Journeys GPS
1:15-3:15 p.m.; Free
New! Get Practical Solutions (GPS)! Learn to navigate the Journeys, from trying out activities to creating customized plans. Hands-on activities reinforce your knowledge of basic program principles.

Bronze Award Adult Learning Opportunity
3:30-5:30 p.m.; Free
Are your Girl Scout Juniors aiming for the Bronze Award? Learn about getting started, the steps, determining needs and more! Receive and review the GSCP2P Bronze Award information packet.

Troop Paperwork
3:30-5:30 p.m.; Free
Take the fright out of paperwork!  Review essential record keeping for troops and how to create a system for stress-free reporting.

Program Aide Training
2-6 p.m.; $5
The Program Aide leadership opportunity is designed to help Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors discover their talents in mentoring and leading younger children, gain the confidence, knowledge and expertise needed to guide younger girls and prepare them to hold future leadership positions within and outside of Girl Scouting. Girls will also have the opportunity to connect with other teen Girl Scouts from around the council. 

Gold and Silver Award Adult Learning Opportunity
3:30-5:30 p.m.; $3
Help your girls earn the most prestigious awards that a Girl Scout can earn. The Girl Scout Silver and Gold Awards ALO is a must for all troop advisors of girls working toward the Girl Scout Silver or Gold Award. Become familiar with the steps, timelines, differences between community service and a Take Action project and how to support girls who are working on their Gold or Silver projects. Choose between the in-person, face-to-face session or the online session for this required course. 

Gold Award Chat Session
3:30-5:30 p.m.; $3
Attend a helpful chat session to put your project ideas into motion. It is an opportunity to share your idea and get feedback. Chat leaders will help you develop a sustainable, global reaching, leadership focused, Take Action project. Girls are REQUIRED to attend either a live, in-person chat session or a virtual chat session prior to starting their Gold Award project. All girls starting the Gold Award process must view the online videos before attending a chat session at www.girlscoutsp2p.org/girl-scout-program/girl-scout-awards.

Join us as we travel back in time and explore what life was like when knights fought for the realm and rescued damsels in distress! We will learn about cooking over a fire, storming the castle and juggling like a court jester. We will also learn about the many different ways to travel as a Girl Scout, and the many awards and honors available to you. And crafts? We are offering so many crafts you’ll wish you could time travel just so you can try them all! Register early so you don’t miss out on your first choices!

Saturday Night: Good people of the realm, pray thee, join us as we celebrate the end of the harvest season with a Feast of St. Michael! We shall drink (ginger) ale, eat with our fingers and enjoy the merriment provided by your peers. We invite thee to dress in your finest garb and share your own talent for entertainment. Recite a sonnet, sing us a ballad or share your newfound talent for juggling! Some costume items will be available to lend for the occasion.
