Camp Pisgah Spooky Hallow Fest Family Weekend @ Camp Pisgah

Get ready to have a spooky day at Camp Pisgah! We will paint pumpkins, try apple chucking and make Boo-tiful crafts. Come in your costume, play games and participate in a haunted walk throughout the camp. Finish the evening with a campfire before retiring for the night!

FEE: $50 for girls, ages 11 and older and adults; $25 for girls ages 3-10

BRING: sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, change of clothes, pajamas, toiletries, day pack, rain gear, water bottle, tennis shoes and suitable clothing for the weather

An emergency can happen anytime. What would you do in case of an emergency? Bring the family along to this safety expo where you will meet local police, fire and EMS responders. You’ll get to tour the rigs, learn basic first aid, make your own first aid kit to take home, discover what to do during severe weather, meet a disaster response team, learn basic self defense and more! This is a serious topic but a super fun, hands-on program where you’ll learn a lot. It’s expo-style with some scheduled presentations. Each participant gets a canvas bag for all the goodies and info you’ll pick up. Girl Scout Daisies will work on their Safety Award and earn the Gerri the Geranium petal. Girl Scout Brownies will work on their Safety Award and earn their First Aid Badge. Girl Scout Juniors will work on their Safety Award and complete three steps of their First Aid Badge.

GIRL FEE: $10

ADULT FEE: $5

Citizen Scientist @ North Carolina Arboretum

We need girl scientists! Get your notebook and pencil and meet us at the North Carolina Arboretum. Help the staff at the Arboretum conduct science projects and then upload your findings to an online citizen science network. Share your findings with people all around the world. Girls are welcome to attend without adults in attendance. Arboretum educators serve as adults required for safety ratios; prefer no more than two Girl Scout leaders. Girl Scouts are encouraged with groups/troops that register together to meet safety ratios. Parking fee waived for participants.

Join us for the fourth annual council-wide camporee at Keyauwee Program Center! We will have Girl Scout events, adventure activities and community groups leading programs for all ages. Horseback riding and the Alpine tower will be available for an additional fee and require advance sign up. Troops are welcome to come as a group, or girls are welcome to come with a registered adult of their choosing!

GIRL/ADULT FEES:

  • Sleep in cabin – $50
  • Sleep in tent (bring your own) – $40
  • Saturday only – $25

Brownie Badge Day @ Sawtooth School for Visual Art

Girl Scout Brownies can earn their Computer Expert Brownie Badge and Painting Brownie Badge. Computers help us do so much.  You can make amazing art and find incredible facts on the internet. Discover the joy of putting paint on to canvas and the secrets to designing a masterpiece.  All participants will receive a Sawtooth participation patch. Brownie badges are not included.
