Do you love horses? Then you should be a RIIT! This is a leadership program for girls who will be turning 13 or older in 2016, where your volunteer hours can be used to earn riding time. This Education Day will prepare you to help with weekend horse programs. This is not a riding program.
GIRL FEE: Free
BRING: sack lunch, water bottle, sturdy shoes or closed-toe footwear/boots for working outside and with horses; be prepared to be on your feet and moving most of the day; wear suitable clothing for the weather – remember it is always hotter or colder at the barn than it is at your house
Drop in at the barn and meet the Circle C herd! Take a tour and learn about our programs and horses with interactive game and activities. First time visitors can register, via e-mail for a 5-minute introductory riding lesson. The horses can’t wait to meet you!
The service centers and shops are closed for the Labor Day holiday.
This program is designed for girls and their significant male adults – dads, uncles, grandpas, etc. You and the rest of the group will spend the weekend at Camp Pisgah on camp construction projects and sprucing up camp itself. You will enjoy great meals, a father/daughter craft and archery. The Camp Ranger will lead your group in the camp project (roofing, painting, construction) and will provide the materials, training and direction as we all work together to improve camp property! So campers bring your favorite adult “guy” out to camp and show them how much fun Camp Pisgah can be. By the end of the weekend, you will leave knowing you’ve left your mark on camp! Snack provided on Friday; all three meals on Saturday and continental breakfast on Sunday.
FEE: $50/pair (adult and girl); $25 for additional girl/sister
BRING: sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, change of clothes, pajamas, toiletries, day pack, rain gear, water bottle, tennis shoes and suitable clothing for the weather
