Girl Scout Day at Biltmore Estate @ Biltmore Estate

Biltmore Estate is honored to be part of the Girl Scout community by offering a memorable experience at America’s largest home. The Antler Hill Barn will be set up with hands-on activities and learning stations about gardening, forestry, Appalachian culture and more. Also included is a self-guided visit in Biltmore House, gardens, conservatory and Antler Hill Village.

From 9-11 a.m., Antler Hill Farm will have learning stations with hands-on activities that include:
• The Historical Turn-of-the-Century Farm
• Our Appalachian Culture
• Natural and Earth Sciences
• The Forest
• Renewable Energy and Sustainability
• And more!

Ticket also includes self-guided visit in Biltmore House, Gardens, Conservatory and Antler Hill Village. Estate attractions have various hours. Many eateries, cafes and restaurants are available on the estate, as well as in nearby Biltmore Village.

Come check out camp and meet the 2014 summer staff! Program areas will be open for you and your family to try out and enjoy! Take this opportunity to tour camp and get all your questions answered. Touring camp is free, but to help raise money for the camp scholarship fund, we provide some of our most popular activities and sell food for a small cost. All profits help send girls to camp!

A great troop camping experience where we do all of the hard work! We will provide you your schedule (based on your preferences), facilitators, supplies, food and even a T-shirt. You just need to bring all of you enthusiasm, energy and excitement. All camp activities will be offered to troops, following normal Safety Activity Checkpoints guidelines. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the numbers on camp, we are only able to accommodate the Safety-Wise required numbers for adults.

Camp Craze @ Camp Ginger Cascades

Come on out and get CRAZED about camp! Pick any Saturday between June 7, 2014 to August 9, 2014 to come and spend four hours playing at camp! You may choose any two activities from basking in the sun in your troop’s own pool party to boat races down at the lake or challenging yourself on the climbing wall to hitting a bulls eye at archery. CGC staff will take care of everything and make sure you have a CRAZY fun time!

GRADE LEVEL: Girl Scout Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors (grades 2-12) and troop leaders, parents

Troop Explorers @ Camp Ginger Cascades

Looking for something to do with your troop this summer? With Troop Explorers, Camp Ginger Cascades staff will plan and lead a memorable and exciting camp experience just for you! You and your troop can choose from a variety of specialties including general CORE, canoeing, climbing and archery! Take this time to explore camp and enjoy the time with your group hassle-free! You may choose any date that works with your schedule that is either a Sunday to Tuesday, Wednesday to Friday or Friday to Saturday between the dates of June 15 to August 1, 2014 excluding the weekends of June 20-22, 2014 and July 11-13, 2014. If your troop would like to go on a horse trail ride, there will be an additional fee of $35 per person. All meals are included!

Asheville Tourists Girl Scout Night: Baseball, Fireworks & Camping @ McCormick Field
Aug 15 @ 7:00 pm – Aug 16 @ 8:00 am

Catch some fun with the Asheville Tourists on August 15 as they play the Augusta Greenjackets! Pre-game Girl Scout parade, post-game fireworks and the opportunity to camp out on the field. Purchase the Girl Scout package for just $10, which includes a general admission ticket, souvenir patch and meal voucher (hot dog, chips and drink). Parents and families are welcome to purchase admission tickets for only $5.

Tents allowed, but no stakes please.  Dads/male volunteers are welcome to camp out as long as separate sleeping areas are maintained.
