Drop in at the barn and meet the Circle C herd! Take a tour and learn about our programs and horses with interactive game and activities. First time visitors can register, via e-mail for a 5-minute introductory riding lesson. The horses can’t wait to meet you!
The service centers and shops are closed for the Labor Day holiday.
This program is designed for girls and their significant male adults – dads, uncles, grandpas, etc. You and the rest of the group will spend the weekend at Camp Pisgah on camp construction projects and sprucing up camp itself. You will enjoy great meals, a father/daughter craft and archery. The Camp Ranger will lead your group in the camp project (roofing, painting, construction) and will provide the materials, training and direction as we all work together to improve camp property! So campers bring your favorite adult “guy” out to camp and show them how much fun Camp Pisgah can be. By the end of the weekend, you will leave knowing you’ve left your mark on camp! Snack provided on Friday; all three meals on Saturday and continental breakfast on Sunday.
FEE: $50/pair (adult and girl); $25 for additional girl/sister
Bugs help us in lots of cool ways. Explore the world of bugs with the staff at the NC Arboretum to learn what these little creatures do. Take a bug hike to see how many kinds of bugs you can find along the way. Find out about good bugs and bad bugs. To register, contact Jonathan Marchal, Youth Education Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 828-665-2492 ext. 228
Girls are welcome to attend without adults in attendance. Arboretum educators serve as adults required for safety ratios; prefer no more than two Girl Scout leaders. Girl Scouts are encouraged with groups/troops that register together to meet safety ratios. Parking fee waived for participants.
GIRL FEE: $10
BRING: water bottle, suitable clothes for the weather, completed permission/health form for girls attending individually
The Fall Product/Magazine Program not only provides an opportunity for troops to earn money for the beginning of the year, but it is also an important learning opportunity for girls. This year, the program runs through Monday, October 24. Learn more.
