Spend the morning learning all about archery and practicing your aim. In the afternoon, learn what it takes to train a horse to accept the sport of mounted archery. Ride in a series of activities and games designed to coordinate your riding skills and aim.

knew that leadership could be so much fun!? This workshop will take Girl Scout Brownies and their leaders through the planning of a Take Action project (steps 1-3 of the SPARK Award). Cooking a simple meal on fire and camp stove, sanitation and food storage- you’ll be prepared to guide girls to cook outdoors. This course completes the Cook Out License, allowing girls to build and cook over fires.

BRING: Plastic or metal dishes/silverware in a mesh bag (an onion or orange bag works great!)

Fly Away @ Queen City Helicopters

Get ready to Fly Away with Queen City Helicopter! Girl Scouts are invited to attend this exciting “flight school” to learn more about aviation safety and helicopter operations. You’ll also be introduced to Whirly-Girls, an awesome group dedicated to advancing women in the aviation industry through scholarships and mentoring. At the end of the day, have your cameras ready as a helicopter takes off!

GRADE LEVEL: Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors (grades 4-12)

Required of an adult before taking a troop camping where girls sleep in tents or at a location outside of GSCP2P camp. Includes tents, tarps, knots. Learn how to partner with girls to tent camp.

Pre-requisites: Be Safe, Be Ready online courses, Fire Building and Outdoor Cooking OR also register to take Fire Building and Outdoor Cooking on the same day. Staying overnight is optional. Facilitators will be staying overnight and during the evening will be offering banana boats, along with tips and anecdotes on camping with young girls.

BRING: Clothing for weather. If staying overnight, bring sleeping bag/pad, plastic or metal dishes, toiletries, etc.
