  • And many more activities and demonstrations through the historic district!

Special patches for this event, as well as the Old Salem Council Patch, will be available for Girl Scouts at the Visitor Center. To receive the discounted admission price ($14 for leaders/$9 for girls) you must register by October 22. Reservations can be made by calling Tours & Reservations (1-800-441-5305) and will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.

You’ll also be introduced to Whirly-Girls, an awesome group dedicated to advancing women in the aviation industry through scholarships and mentoring. At the end of the day, have your cameras ready as a helicopter takes off!

You are invited to investigate the night sky with Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) astronomers that will allow you to meet the goals in the following items from the Sky topics: Step 1 – 10 Constellations, 8 Stars Requirement, Step 2 – Visit an Observatory or Planetarium, Step 4 – Investigate Light Pollution, Step 5 – Sky Stories from other Cultures. Teams will rotate through sessions according to the agenda.
