Fall Product Q&A
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont will again be offering a nut and candy sale, as well as magazine subscriptions so girls can earn money for Girl Scout opportunities! Unlike the cookie program, this is a friends and family sale. There are no re-orders or booth sales.
Q: Why are we having a fall product program?
A: Many troop leaders are excited about having the opportunity to begin the year with great programming and the opportunity to raise start-up funds for their troops. The fall product program is a great way to help defray some of the troop cost between start-up time and the cookie program.
Q: When does the program take place?
A: Our fall product program takes place September 14-October 26, 2015.
Q: What items are being offered for the fall product program?
A: We have a large selection of magazines, as well as nut and chocolate products that range in price from $5 to $8.
Additionally, customers can purchase their favorite nut and candy items online through the Online Nut store. The online store offers 24 Girl Scout branded nut/candy items in addition to five corporate gift items. Customers are responsible for shipping costs.
Q: How many nut/chocolate items are in a case?
A: There are 12 items in every case.
Q: Why should I order magazines through Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont?
A: GSCP2P and local Girl Scouts receive a portion of the subscription fees. Not only are you getting a great magazine, you are supporting Girl Scouts in your local community and helping to provide programs, adult training and support for our camp.
Q: Can I renew before my subscription is due to expire?
A: Renewals ordered ahead of time will be added on to your existing subscription. To avoid receiving double subscriptions, fill out your order form with name and address exactly as it appears on your current subscription label or tape the label to the order form.
Q: Can I order or renew magazines not listed in the catalog?
A: No. Only the magazines listed in the catalog may be purchased or renewed through QSP/GAO.
Q: Can I order magazines for a business?
A: Yes, however the subscription must be sent to a specific person. Subscriptions sent to a business name, library or media center cannot be processed.
Q: When will customers receive their subscription?
A: New magazine subscriptions begin approximately 12 to 14 weeks after orders are submitted to QSP/GAO. Online orders are immediately submitted. Paper orders must be processed by the troop and council before they are sent via mail to QSP/GAO. Renewals begin when the old subscription expires.
Q: Does QSP/GAO accept coupons?
A: QSP/GAO cannot accept any coupons or discount offers. Only gifts described in the QSP/GAO catalog will be provided.
Q: Does the customer need a receipt?
A: Yes! Online customers can print a receipt when they place their order. Paper customers should keep the pink copy of their subscription order form. Not only does it have the number for QSP/GAO Customer Service, it is also the customer’s official record of the order and payment should they need it.
Q: When do we collect payment for magazines, photo keepsakes, nuts and chocolate?
A: Payment is collected when the customer places their order.
Q: What is Peanuts for the Pantry?
A: Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is sponsoring a council-wide service project to collect honey roasted peanuts to stock our local food banks in our 40-county jurisdiction. All girls who sell at least five cans for this service project will receive a special patch.
