Leaderfest is a one-day (with some overnight options) fun, casual and relaxing training event for our adult Girl Scout volunteers over the age of 18. There are no opening or closing ceremonies, no gifts to bring and no special dress. It is a chance to sit back, enjoy yourself, make new friends and join others to learn some new skills or activities. And if you want, you may come up to camp on Friday evening and spend the night with your friends and/or stay overnight on Saturday evening.

Event details and workshop information can be found here.

Children's Program: This year we will have an optional program for school age children (boys and girls in grades K–5) from 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Children will participate in a variety of camp activities at a separate location in camp. If you choose the overnight option for Friday and/or Saturday night, your child(ren) may also stay with you in Rainbow. Register for the children's program here and don't forget to fill out the child health form.

Registration Information:

  • Early Bird: $25 (August 12- September 12)
  • Standard: $35 (September 13- October 24)

Lodging Options: Lodging will be in heated camp units. Participants may choose to spend Friday and/or Saturday night at camp, at a cost of $3 per night. There will be no food/meal provided Friday evening or Sunday breakfast, so participants must bring their own food. An optional Saturday dinner will be served in the Dining Hall for an additional charge. Refrigerators are available in all the camp units for food storage. The unit kitchens all have electricity, refrigerator and stove for you to prepare your meals or you may try out your camp cooking skills and cook over a campfire. You must hold a current Cook Out License to have a campfire and cook over the fire. No license is required for “kitchen cooking." Saturday breakfast (7:30 - 8 a.m.) and Lunch (Noon - 2 p.m.) is provided in the Dining Hall – with the exception of the children's program.

Check-in for those spending Friday night starts at 5 p.m. Those spending Saturday night must check out of their unit by 10 a.m. on Sunday. There is a $3 charge per person to spend the night(s).

Service Project: Leaderfest also offers you an opportunity to give back to the community through our annual service project. This year, we will collect food and toys for animal shelters. We are asking troops make the toys. Here is a link on how to make toys: https://www.nczoo.org/education/familygroup-programs/arts-more
