Location: Christ Church Scout Hut (3415 Union Road, Gastonia, NC)
To enjoy a back-to-nature camping experience and/or to camp out at a non-council site, at least one member of your troop needs to complete the Camp License. The Camp License consists of three pieces: Overnight License, Cook Out License and Tenting. This course is valuable for volunteers who work with troops and want to help them build independence by learning many useful outdoor skills. The license is valid for five years. To renew your license, take the Camp License Renewal course.
Each class is also open to register for independently. Information is as follows:
- Tenting: 9 a.m. - Noon ($15)
- Fire Building: 12:30-3:30 p.m. ($15)
- Outdoor Cooking: 3:30-7 p.m. ($15)
- All three courses: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. ($35)
