Learn about the amazing ecosystems all around us and what you can do to help protect them at our Eco Hero theme week at Camp Ginger Cascades!
Campers of all ages will spend time in the outdoors learning how to be a guest in nature’s home, taking responsibility for their actions outdoors and making a positive impact on the environment. In addition to traditional camp activities such as archery, boating and climbing wall, campers will also learn about the Leave No Trace principles, take conservation hikes, practice eco-friendly camping techniques and brainstorm ways to be kind to the outdoors and to our fellow Girl Scouts – all while exploring nature.
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors will be going on field trips to supplement the activities that we are doing at camp! Seniors and Ambassadors will go whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, stay the night at Camp Pisgah and go chasing waterfalls in DuPont State Recreational Forest.
IMPORTANT: ALL SENIORS AND AMBASSADORS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A SWIM TEST TO SIGN UP FOR THIS WEEK AT CAMP.
