Shoot for the stars and explore the galaxy at our Space Science theme week at Camp Ginger Cascades! Campers of all ages will make discoveries that deepen their understanding of space. In addition to traditional camp activities such as archery, boating and climbing wall, campers will also go stargazing and learn about the constellations, re-create scientific experiments and use new tools to see the stars in a new way.
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors will be going on field trips to supplement the activities that we are doing at camp! Seniors and Ambassadors will visit the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute for a tour of the retired NASA facility, a nighttime viewing of the sky through their advanced telescopes and a chance to camp out overnight in this internationally certified Dark Sky Park.
