Join Girl Scouts from across North Carolina for a special day at the North Carolina General Assembly in Raleigh! This unique experience gives girls the opportunity to see state government in action, learn how laws are made and meet the leaders who serve our communities.
Participants will visit the Senate Floor, learn about the legislative branch of government and hear directly from state legislators during an interactive information session. Girls will have the chance to ask questions, explore the Legislative Building and take part in a large group photo on the iconic red staircase. They will also get to meet Senator Natalie Murdock.
This inspiring day is designed to help girls connect civics to real life, build confidence in their voice, and better understand how they can make an impact in their communities and beyond.
Additionally, attendees will receive a note from Senator Natalie Murdock to excuse their absence from school for participating in this event. Details can be found here.
