Join us for a day at Tryon International Equestrian Center to explore the world of horse shows! You will start your morning with an introduction to what happens at different types of Horse Shows and what etiquette needs to be followed by spectators. Then, head into the main indoor arena to be "Fans In The Stands" at the North Carolina Special Olympics Equestrian Championships, where you will watch athletes show their horses and see what it takes to win a class. Watch riders compete in various classes, observe exhibitors and learn more about the excitement of equestrian competition. Lunch will be on your own. Bring a picnic or enjoy one of the on-site restaurants. Participants must attend with an adult, and troops must bring the required number of adults per Safety Activity Checkpoints. There are shops and restaurants at Tryon, so feel free to stay and enjoy the grounds after the program ends at 2 p.m.
