Join Girl Scout Service Unit 140 at the Pilot Mountain State Park campground firepit amphitheater for a Camping Skills workshop for Girl Scouts of all ages!
Tiffany Baker, Service Unit volunteer, will lead Girl Scouts in songs and how to build a fire, and Pilot Mountain Educational Guides will teach us about biodiversity, invasive species of animals and plants and discuss leave no trace principles.
If you take a hike after the workshop, you will have met the requirements for the following badges:

Bring a packed lunch to enjoy afterwards.
Pilot Mountain State Park patches are for sale in the visitors center.
Logistics: When you arrive at Pilot Mountain State Park, if the road to the summit is closed, please stop by the visitors center and tell them you are with the Girl Scout group meeting in the campground amphitheater. They will give you a pass to show the ranger and let you pass the gate.
At the summit will be RaptorFest. Girl Scouts can see, but not touch, birds of prey and learn all about them.
