Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern works in partnership with the council's marketing team and is responsible for specific marketing projects to expand the visibility and understanding of the Girl Scout mission and values. Their primary focus is utilizing social media to market Girl Scout programs and membership opportunities and tailor social media content and ads to target specific audiences.

This position can work remotely and be based out of any of our service centers. Applicants can apply in the area closest to them:

Engagement Manager

The Engagement Manager works to achieve membership goals in assigned jurisdiction by developing, implementing and assessing comprehensive, full-cycle, year-round recruitment and retention strategies to increase girl and volunteer membership. They develop and foster community partnerships with key stakeholders (school systems, business partners, community centers, etc.) to enhance recruitment opportunities.

Equine & Barn Student Assistant

The Equine & Barn Student Assistant will train on the job to learn and perform all aspects of daily horse care and barn duties.

This position is an opportunity to learn, develop horse handling skills and is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in the Equine, Agriculture or Veterinary Industries. Student Assistants will work 6-10 hours per week.

Part-Time Customer Care Specialist- Asheville & Hickory

The Part-Time Customer Care Specialist provides excellent customer service and prompt retail service to customers in person, by phone and by e-mail. This person must be able to respond to all inquiries in a high quality, customer friendly, timely and efficient manner. The work schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m.-  6 p.m., with occasional Wednesdays, evenings & weekends required.

Community Program Provider- Gastonia

The Program Provider is a part‐time, seasonal position that is responsible for providing and implementing Girl Scout program following a non‐traditional troop model. The Girl Scout program can include regular meetings following the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, assisting newly forming troops and other Girl Scout sponsored programs.

Seasonal Camp Positions- Summer 2023

SEASONAL CAMP POSITIONS

No Girl Scout experience is necessary to work as a camp staff member. Salary is determined on experience and skills. Food, lodging and pre-camp training is provided.

In pre-camp training, staff learn and review camping skills, become familiar with the area and develop a working rapport with fellow staff. All staff members should have a sincere interest and dedication to helping girls enjoy simple outdoor living, the ability to work with people of all backgrounds and love for the outdoors.

Please note that all summer staff will be working at both Keyauwee Program Center in Sophia, NC and Camp Ginger Cascades in Lenoir, NC.
