What is a Mobile Shop? toggle arrow

We deliver a Girl Scout shopping experience to you! Our goal is to use our resources wisely and bring Girl Scout merchandise directly to you. Our staff will set up a mini store in an approved location, during a set time while your event is taking place. Mobile shops are a great option for large service unit events with over 50 attendees. Mobile shops can help enrich any Girl Scout experience, and it’s super convenient for you.

What can you find at a Mobile Shop? toggle arrow

Our Mobile Shops allow customers to browse and purchase Girl Scout merchandise. Some items that you would find at a mobile shop would be official Girl Scout t-shirts, hoodies, scarves, cups, bags and other accessories to express Girl Scout spirit. Have a themed event? What is a Uniform Shop? toggle arrow

A Girl Scout uniform shop is where Girl Scouts and their families can purchase uniform components. These shops serve as a central hub for Girl Scouts to acquire the necessary items for their Girl Scout journey. Uniform shops are recommended for individual troops and are usually requested by the leadership team.

During your uniform shop, a council staff member will help Girl Scouts be fitted for their uniform. Once they are sized, you will place your order with the council staff members. We will pull your order together and let you know when your order is available to pick up from one of our service centers, or you can pay to have the items shipped directly to you.

Uniform shops carry various items, including a full selection of vests and sashes and basic Girl Scout insignia.

What is the difference between a Mobile Shop and a Uniform Shop? toggle arrow

A Girl Scout mobile shop operates as a temporary mobile Girl Scout store that is set up in an approved location. Mobile shops may appear at Service Unit and Council events. Mobile shops are recommended for large events with at least 50 attendees. Depending on the location and theme of your mobile shop, we may advertise your event on the council's online calendar.

Uniform shops are recommended for troops and parents who want to outfit their girls in an official Girl Scout uniform. Uniform shops are great for troops who have 10 or more girls. If you have a smaller troop, it is recommended to partner with another troop in your area to host a Uniform shop together.

Are you hosting a Service Unit Camporee? Requesting the trading post to be open during your camporee is always a fantastic opportunity to let girls and volunteers shop for camp and fun girl scout merchandise. You can also request uniform pieces to be available for try-on and ordering.

To use our resources wisely, we do ask the following:

Requests for Mobile Shops and Uniform shops must be submitted at least four weeks in advance of the desired date to ensure availability of retail staff and inventory.
Attendance of at least 50 customers for mobile shops and trading post events.
Attendance of at least 10-15 customers for Uniform Shops. Don’t have the minimum in your troop, you can always invite other troops to join
