Girl Scouts earning their Silver Award

Silver Award Girl Scouts

When Girl Scout Cadettes focus on an issue they care about, learn the facts and take action to make a difference, they gain the confidence and skills that will catapult them to lifelong success. It all adds up to the Girl Scout Silver Award—the highest honor a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve.

Download the GSUSA Silver Award Guidelines to find out how your girl can earn her award.

Ways to Celebrate
  • Locally- Troops or service units may hold local pinning ceremonies. Girls and their families are encouraged to invite mentors, volunteers, community partners, local dignitaries and many others to celebrate in the successful completion of their project and the ways in which it helps a community. This can happen any time after the Girl Scout successfully completes her Girl Scout Silver Award.
  • Council-wide- To recognize all the Silver Award Girl Scouts, GSCP2P hosts three Girl Scout Silver and Gold Award Ceremonies throughout our council footprint. This celebration is typically held on the Sunday after Mother’s Day in May.

To buy Girl Scout Silver Award pins and memorabilia, visit one of our shop locations or shop online. The Girl Scout Silver Award Pin is purchased by the troop after completion of the Girl Scout Silver Award Brag Sheet.
